Ömer Yağlıdere M.D.
He was born in Giresun, on September 20, 1961.
In 1984, he graduated from Gülhane Military Medical Faculty.
In 1991-2003, he became an Otorhinolaryngology specialist. He worked in Izmit, Ankara, Tatvan, Bursa and Denizli.
In 2003, He retired from Turkish Army as Colonel and he settled down in Bursa.At present he is working for Special Siirt Hospital as an Otorhinolaryngology specialist.
In March 2000, he studied Basic Photography in the Photographic Society of BursaHe is a member BUFSAD (Bursa Photographic Art Society) and GUFOK (Gülhane Photographic Club); GIFOD (Giresun Photographic Art Society) and Brussels Miroir Association Photographic honour member.
In October 2007, Honour Award of 2th Giresun Art Days.
In December 2007, AFIAP title was given by FIAP.

Achievements
Over 60 of his photographs received various awards of achievement, 10 being internationally awarded. Over 270 of his photos were accepted, 120 of them were accepted abroad. His most significant achievements are as follows: He won a golden medal with four of his photographs out of “the story of a silkworm” series in the photography contest dedicated to Özgen Özgenal, which was organized by AFAD in October 2002; he was found successful in the 8th slide show competition by IFSAK in December 2003 with his “silk road” slide show; in the competition dedicated to Şinasi Barutçu which was organized by Fotogen in December 2003 with six of his photographs out of “the story of a silkworm” and in December 2004 with six of his photos out of “come”. With two of his photographs he took part in the Turkish team attending the 23rd slide biennialorganized by FIAP in England in October 2004, and received an honorable mention with the team. He was chosen as the best performing photographer with his 5 accepted and 1 honorable mention in the contest called “view hunting in nature”, organized by DASK in May 2004. He was awarded a golden medal in the FKVK Mavrica International Salon 2004 (in Slovenia), supported by FIAP (International Photography Federation), He took part in the Turkish team attending the 22rd colour print biennialorganized by FIAP in Andorra in 2005.
